Very good fishing today up north. We set up in 100 fow in the 01’s and trolled north. It took a while before we had our first bite. We were marking bait and fish so we waited them out. We had Natural Glow Captains Choice Cut Plugs on both out downs and a 11″ White Crush Dreamweaver Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly on the chute rigger. The water was a little warmer so we had our chute at 75 and the out downs at 60 & 50. We had 10 ” Spin Doctors and Big Water Meat Rigs on all four wire divers. Our hot wire was a 10″ Black Crush Spin Doctor/Moo Moo Big Water Meat Rig out 185 on a high wire diver. We had Captains Choice Cut Plugs on our lead core’s and coppers, Natural Glows on the 10 color cores and a 250 copper and a Lucky Charm on the other 250. Once they started biting we had good action. The boat traffic wasn’t too bad, but there were more boats than I thought there would be. There are still lots of fish to be caught in the Big Lake and we have several openings in the next couple weeks.

Plugs and more plugs, that’s what’s been hot on our boat the last couple days. We’ve been fishing up north off the Bank. We have been starting out with Natural Glow and Wonder Bread Captain’s Choice Cut Plugs on our riggers, high divers, and lead cores. We had a glow spoon on one low wire and a 10″ Dark Green Blue Bubble Slick (Kevin’s Girlfriend) Spin Doctor/Green Mile Big Water Meat Rig on the other low wire. The spoon went once and the Spin Doctor/Big Water Rig went three times. After the sun comes up we are running 10″ Spin Doctors & Big Water Meat Rigs on all four wire divers, an 11″ White Crush Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly on the chute rigger and leaving the plugs on the out downs. Later in the morning We have been working out to deeper water and putting out some coppers. Our hot copper has been a 300 with a Lucky Charm Captain’s Choice Cut Plug. A 250 copper with a Natural Glow Captains Choice Plug has been good too.
