Went north today. The temp was 50.2 on our Fish Hawk 50 ft. down at the ball. The morning got off to a good start when we boated a big King that hit a regular Dreamweaver Super Bread 60 down on an out down before we had all our rods set. Then we hit a triple. First a low wire diver out 110 with an 8″ White Crush & Slick/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly hit. Next a 150 copper with a glow spoon and then an out down set at 50 with a pair of regular size DW Blue Skinny Jeans both went. The King on the out down got off but while we were fighting the first two a high wire out 150 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly went. That one ended up in the cooler and so did the other two. It’s been a while since we’ve had a start like that. We were marking fish and bait where we had all the action so we turned back south. We took a couple more mature Kings on the south troll. One on a high wire diver out 120 with an 8″ Pickled Sunshine Action Fly and the other hit a 225 copper with a 10″ White Crush Light Green Scale Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig. The setup on the 225 copper accounted for three of our fish today. Later in the morning one of our biggest Kings took a 10″ Green Sparkler Spin Doctor/Green Gasoline Dreamweaver Meat Rig on a low wire diver. Those Kings are full of fight and put up one heck of a battle. Our crew did a good job. The fish we lost just got off. We also boated a Sheepshead on a 150 copper. It put up a good fight too. We thought for sure it was a Salmon. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper on all our copper rods.

7-29-18 Fishing Report
Went north again today. Boat traffic wasn’t near as heavy as yesterday. The water was warmer today, 47 degrees down 90 ft. It took a while for our first bite. It came on a regular DW Super Bread spoon free sliding over another Super Bread down 60 on an out down. It was a small King. We took a small & a big King on a glow spoon on a 150 copper. The rest of our catch came on flashers with fly’s or meat rigs. Lots of Pickled Sunshine Action Fly’s & Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rigs in our spread today. All our fish came on them except a nice King took an 8″ Green Chrome Killer/Green Mile Dreamweaver Meat Rig set at 48 ft. on an out down. Two of our biggest Kings came on a 225 copper with a 10″ White Crush Green Scale Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig. A 10″ White Crush White Slick Sin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig took another big King out 130 on a low wire diver. We missed 2 fish on a high wire diver out 130 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. From talking to a couple other captains I would suggest putting a Pickled Sunshine Action Fly or meat rig behind your favorite flasher and letting it ride. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper on all our copper rods.
