Great morning fishing today south of Ludington. We set up in 62 feet of water and trolled south between 65 & 55 feet of water. Our riggers & wire divers were rigged for Trout with Spin Doctors & WhirlyGigs. On one side of the boat we ran a 5, 7.5, and a 10 color cores and a 3, 5, & 7.5 on the other side all with spoons hoping to catch a King or two. The King pictured above took a Super Slim UV Spotted Starburst on a 5 color core. While we were fighting it another King hit a low wire with an 8″ Chrome Spin Doctor/UV Mountain Dew WhirlyGig as it was being let out. Then both our high wires went with Trout. They had 8″ Lake Trout Candy Spin Doctors trailed by Chrome Mountain Dew WhirlyGigs on both of them. Our crew landed all four fish. We only took one Laker today on our riggers. It was a beautiful morning on the Lake and the fish were biting. Who could ask for more?
