Action packed morning. We started south setting up in the same area we have been fishing the last few days in 100 feet of water and trolled south southeast. We had most all of our rods set when a low wire diver out 70 took a rip with a 10″ Blue Bubble Spin Doctor/Ice Cold Big Water Meat Rig. It didn’t hook up. Our old faithful out down set at 55 with a Super Slim Green Skinny Jeans free sliding above a DW Green Skinny Jeans took a King. It went twice this morning. While we were fighting that one the other out down set at 65 took a Trout on a DW UV Super Bread free sliding above the same bait. A 175 copper with a #3 Silver Hoard Pinkie Plug took a big hit and screamed out line. It was a big King that put up quite a fight before coming to the boat. The low wire with the Blue Bubble went 2 more times. We landed 1 and the second one broke us off. We replaced the Ice Cold rig with a Cold Steel Big Water rig and took another King on it. I can’t take the time to detail all our hits. Our best rod was a high wire diver out 120 with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Green Gasoline Dreamweaver Teaser Rig. We broke it off once, replaced it, and it kept going. We took 2 Steelhead on a 7.5 color core with a Yeck Fireball and a King on our other 7.5 color core with a DW Rasta Goose. Most of our Trout came on the chute rigger with a 10″ Chrome Spin Doctor/Spin-N-Glo bouncing bottom. We missed our prototype WhirlyGig that broke off yesterday but still did good on the Trout. We took our 4 man 20 fish limit and were headed back to the dock at 10:20 a.m. Great morning to be fishing! We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and pull Morgan’s Tackle copper with Dreamweaver Ninja Boards.
