We headed back north this morning setting up off the bank. The Lake was calm and our graph looked good, lots of bait and fish. After the good early bite yesterday, we had high expectations for this morning. Got all our rods set and no bites, not a good sign. Our chute rigger down 80 with an 11″ White Crush DW Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly stacked with an SS Soda popped. A small King took the fly. Our high wire Ninja Diver out 240 took a shot on an 8″ Closer Spin Doctor/Red Meat Rig. It didn’t hook up. Missed a fish on our port high wire out 220. with an 8″ Prototype Flip Fin Paddle/Olive Oil Fly. Had a bite on the port 7.5 color core with a mag Steely Ranger. No hook up on that either. Took a small King on the starboard 7.5 core with a Yeck Sunshine. Lost a small one on it later. Took another small King on the starboard out down with a pair of SS Sodas down 60. We trolled a long way with only 3 small Kings to show for it. 
We worked out a little deeper on the north troll and took a Lake Trout on an SS Soda stacked above an 11″ Blue Bubble DW Paddle/Blue Bubble Fly down 150. We heard of some fish being caught out deep, so we put it on a west troll. Our port low wire with an 8″ Dragon Slayer Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly with Lime Green Beads took a hit but no hook up. We had a big fish hit our 350 copper with an 8″ Charlie Special Flip Fin Paddle/Sweet Pea Fly. It tangled with our 300 copper and escaped. We took a King on that 300 with a Coyote spoon.
Our biggest fish, a Laker, came on a 5 color core with a Copper Double Orange Crush. We lost a fish on a 3 color core and took a small King on a 7.5 core with a Goat spoon. The bites came hard today. Luckily our crew did a good job on the rods.
