Set up north off the bank this morning. It was 53 degrees down 50 feet. It was overcast but clear early then the fog rolled in. Low visibility for most of the trip. Starboard 5 color went once with an SS Burnt Bloody Nose. Port 5 color went twice with a Gold Fire Ball. Starboard 7.5 once with a Yeck Merica spoon.
We took a Steelhead on our port 7.5 core with a Steely Ranger. We lost a fish on it too. Starboard 10 color 3 times with an SS Wonder Veggie. Port 10 color one time with a Black Raspberry spoon. Port 300 copper went one time with a regular size Green Hulk. Starboard out down went 3 times with a pair of SS Sodas. Chute rigger down 85 with an 11″ White Fish Scale DW Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly took a King.
Port high Ninja Diver out 230 with an 8″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action fly took a hit but didn’t hook up. Missed one on the Starboard high Ninja Diver out 230 with a Modified Coyote spoon.
Port low wire running near bottom with an 8″ Lake Trout Candy Spin Doctor/Double Trouble Spin-N-Glo took a Coho. Our biggest King came on a low wire out 290 with an 8″ Lake Trout Candy Spin Doctor/Custom Spin-N-Glo. Our crew helped us avoid trouble in the fog, keeping a good watch on our radar. It felt good to see some nice Kings in the cooler.
We use and recommend Nova Tackle Deep Water Series Trolling Rods, Dreamweaver Ninja Boards & Divers, and Magnum MetalZ Downriggers and Copper.
