We heard good reports from boats fishing north yesterday. We headed up there this morning in the fog and light rain setting up in 150 feet of water. Almost had all our rods set when a 375 copper with a mag Spotted Dolphin took off with a big fish. Next a 10 color core with a mag size Modified Carmel Dolphin went with another nice fish. The one on the 375 copper escaped but we landed a nice Steelhead, pictured below, on the 10 color. We took a small King on a 450 copper with a custom mag DW UV Beefeater spoon. Our biggest King came on that same set up later in the morning. We had a regular UV Beefeater on our other 450 and took a King on it. We took a Laker on a 7 color core with a Super Slim Rasta Goose. The surface temp was 58 degrees and it was 56 down 120 on our Fish Hawk Probe. After the first couple hours we put a Trout rig on the chute rigger and another on on an out down. We took 5 of our Trout on those fishing them close to the bottom.
