Tough fishing today. We fished up north off the Bank. There was a big pocket of cold water between the 59’s & 02’s. The surface temp got as cold a 42 degrees. It started warming once we got into the 02’s and we set up in 180 fow. The surface temp was 47.8. We hit our first fish on a 8 color core with a glow bloody nose spoon. We were in the 03’s in 100 fow. It was a Steelhead. We hit another one on the same rig but it got off. Then we boat rode for a while. It was hard to get a good troll. It seemed like the waves were coming from three different directions. We never marked a lot of fish but we quit marking anything in the high 04’s so we turned back south. We made an out troll once we got past the point. We boated a nice King on the out on a 11″ White Dreameaver Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly 100′ down on the chute rigger. The surface temp warmed to 50 degrees in 210 fow. We turned and trolled NE. We missed a fish on a 12 color with a Mag SOG Dreamweaver Spoon and took one on a 10 color with a Fuzzy Bear Frozen Veggie. The wind switched NW and the Lake calmed down. We trolled back north when we hit 140 fow and hit 3 fish on that north troll. We missed one on a high wire out 220 on a 10″ Mountain Dew Spin Doctor/Cold Steel Big Water Meat Rig and took a King on a 10″ Blue NBK Spin Doctor/Blue Thunder Big Water Rig out 200 on the other high wire. Our chute rigger down 100 with the Paddle/Pickled Sunshine took the King Pictured above. The 8 color took one more Steelhead. We lost a nice King right behind the boat on a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Froggie Big Water Meat Rig down 85 on an out down.
