Hungry fish and beautiful weather, what more can a person ask for? We have been getting more than our share of both here in Ludington. Anglers are doing well south, straight out & north. For the most part the seas have been calm and the sun shinning. We’ve been doing our fishing up north. The water has cooled some from the northeast and north winds, but the fish seem to like it a little cooler. We’ve been running the Bank down in the early morning then heading out deeper after the action slows and then reversing it in the afternoon. Its been mostly a spoon bite for us, with the exception of our wire divers, we have been running 10 ” Spin Doctors and Big Water Meat Rigs on them. Our hot spoon today was a regular size Dreamweaver Beefeater on a 250 copper. It took our biggest Steelhead on the morning trip and the biggest King on our evening trip. The 10″ Show Time Spin Doctor/Blue Moo Big Water Rig on a high wire diver continues to be very productive for us.
