We set up in the same location as yesterday, 01’s in 130 fow. The graph was pretty clean, but we figured the further north we got the more fish we would see. It didn’t work out that way. We got to the 02’s and only had 2 bites & 1 fish. That came 65 down on an out down with a pair of regular size Fuzzy Bear Yellow Tails. Yesterday we caught most of our fish in deeper water so we headed out to 180 feet and deeper. Boats that had the best early action were fishing from the Point to the 06’s between 80 & 130 fow. The fish were up higher in the water column today. 5,7,8,& 10 color cores all took hits. Our best rods were a 10 color core & a 350 copper with glow spoons. We took a King 110 down on the chute rigger with an 11″ Dreamweaver Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Only 2 meat bites, one on a high wire out 150 with a 10″ Mountain Dew Spin Doctor/Cold Steel Big Water Meat Rig and the other on a 10″ Show Time Spin Doctor/Blue Moo Meat Rig out 110 on a low wire. We got out as far as 400 fow, but the action was not near as good as yesterday out in the deeper water. We took most of our fish between 130 & 160 fow.
