7-20-26 Fishing Report

Crazy good fishing this morning. Not a lot of time to take pictures. The water warmed up, 54 degrees down 45 feet on our Fish Hawk.  The early bite was nonstop action. Our board rods were hit first. Starboard 5 color core had a Natural Glow Mini Captain’s Choice Cut Plug. Starboard 7.5 color core had a Pink Dot Mini Captain’s Choice Cut plug. Port 3 color core with a Natural Glow Mini Captain’s Choice Cut plug went 3 times. Port 5 color core took a big King on a Mini Lucky Charms Captain’s Choice Cut Plug. Port 10 color core went with a Pink Dot Mini Captain’s Choice Cut Plug, port 250 copper with a mag Fuzzy Bear Shelly Snack went. Both out downs went several times. Starboard out down was set at 40 with a DW Soda and an SS Soda free sliding above it. The port out down was set at 45 with a pair of regular size Green Glow spoons. Starboard high Ninja Diver went 3 time with an 8″ Custom White Crush Green Dot Padle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Starboard low wire out 85 went at least 4 times with an 8″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Port high Ninja Diver out 130 with a White Paddle/Glow Mirage Fly went several times. A little later we dropped it back to 150 and it went again. Port low wire diver out 90 with an 8″ Blue Bubble Spin Doctor/Blue Bubble Action Fly went 4 or 5 times. That combo on a low wire has been taking a lot of Kings for us. Our chute rigger down 60 with a Captain’s Choice Natural Glow Cut plug went a few times. We dropped it down to 90 with an 11″ Black Slick Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly and took a mature King. It took a while to get number 20 in the boat. We turned back south and hit 4 Kings. Starboard out down with an old-style White Crush Silver Back DW Paddle/Green Crinkle Fly down 70 went. So did a 225 copper with an 8″ Dragon Slayer Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Fly, starboard high wire Ninja Diver out 170 with an 8″ Custom Flip Fin Paddle/White Glow Mirage Fly and our port high wire Ninja Diver out 150 went too. We boated them all. We ended up with 23 Kings. First Mate Abe & I got to take 3 Kings home. It was our crews first time Salmon fishing and it was a trip they won’t soon forget.
