Crazy good action this morning. Surface temp was 53 degrees, 40 down 43 degrees on our Fish Hawk. We set our board rods first. A 7.5 color core and a 10 color on the starboard side. A 5 color, 7.5 & 10 color on the port side. We had mini Captain’s Choice Pink Dot Cut Plugs on both 7.5’s. A Natural Glow mini on the 5 color. A full size Natural Glow Cut Plug on one 10 color and a mag Fuzzy Bear Shelly Snack on the port side.
Once both 7.5’s went our charter clients each had a rod with a fish on it until we had 10 Kings in the box and threw back number 11. Starboard out down set at 50 with a pair of SS Sodas went twice. Port out down set at 45 with a pair of DW Green Hulks went once. The chute rigger down 65 went twice with an 11″ White Fish Scale DW Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly.
Port high wire Ninja Diver out 120 went once with an 8″ White Slick Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Port low wire diver went twice back 90 with an 8″ Blue Bubble Spin Doctor/Blue Bubble Action Fly. Starboard low wire diver out 85 went twice with an 8″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Isotope DW Meat Rig. Never got the high wire out. Every rod we had in the water went at least once. Our charter fished with us last year same day and said this was a little faster than last year, what a morning.
