Been fishing the last two days up north for Kings. It’s been tough. The picture on the top right is from today and the left is from Tuesday. Yesterday we ran down the Bank in 100 to 110 fow. Lots of bait and fish there but no takers. We moved out to 160 and hit three fish but only boated one , a nice Laker down 120 on a 11″ White Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. We decided to try offshore. We ran out to the 37 line in the 09’s and trolled west. The action was slow out there too. We found a 2 degree break in the high 44’s and took two fish off it. One was a fat Steelhead that took a Gold Dreamweaver SS Monkey Shine on a 2 color core. Today we set up off the Bank in 180 fow. We took two big Kings pretty quick. They both came on an out down set at 95′. The first one took a glow spoon stacked over a 11″ Green Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly and the second one hit the Paddle. We hit two more Kings but lost them both. We moved in to 90 fow and Trout fished. We boated 4 Lakers and had two other hits. The temp was in the mid 40’s 65 feet down and 42 down 80. The sea fleas wern’t as bad as they have been.
