We fished up north today setting up in the 01’s in 120 fow. We were marking a fair amount of fish a some bait, but the morning bite was no big deal for us. Our riggers were set at 45, 65, & 55 ft, they all had glow spoons on them. Our high wire divers were a 10″ Show Time Spin Doctor/Blue Moo Big Water Meat Rig out 150 & a 10″ Dark Green Blade Blue Bubble Slick Spin Doctor/Green Mile Big Water Rig out 170. The low wires were a 10″ Dark Green Crush Spin Doctor/Moo Moo Meat Rig out 90 & a 10″ Black Crush Spin Doctor/Moo Moo Big Water Meat Rig out 130. The wires took a couple fish on the first pass, but most of our action was on the riggers. We had 7 fish by the time we hit the Point. We weren’t marking much north of the Stick so we turn out to deeper water and headed south. We worked between 180 & 260 fow all the way to the 00’s. The high wire out 170 with the Dark Green Spion Doctor/Green Mile was our hot rig of the day. We switched the Dark Green Crush on one of the low wires to a 10″ Show Time Spin Doctor/Blue Moo Big Water Rig and dropped it back to 110 ft. That ended up being our second best set up. We took fish on 8 & 10 color cores and 250 & 300 coppers. We could see fish swirling on the surface on our first pass down the Bank, but our 5 color cores never took a hit. All our meat rigs were baited with Erie Dearie Premium Strips.
