Beautiful morning on the Lake today. It was sunny, calm, and the fish were biting. It was 54 degrees down 50 feet on our Fish Hawk. First fish came on a 7.5 color core with a Steely Ranger. We took a small King on a 175 copper with an SS Burnt Bloody Nose. Port 10 color core went once with a standard Shelly Snack.
250 copper took a nice King on a mag Fuzzy Bear Shelly Snack. A mag Dreamweaver UV Wonder Bread went twice on our port 300 copper. Mag Fuzzy Bear Half Wonder Bread went once on our starboard
325 copper. One of our last bites was a King that took our port 5 color core with a Yeck Double Orange Crush. Starboard out down set at 80 took a King on a pair of SS Sodas. Our chute rigger down 100 with an 11″ White Slick Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly with an SS UV Green Jeans stacked 20 ft. above the Paddle went twice and took our two biggest Kings, both on the SS stack. The biggest one weighed 20.95 lbs. at Captain Chucks. The second one was little over 17 lbs. Starboard high Ninja Diver out 240 went twice with an 8″ Green Jeans Flip Fin Paddle/Frozen Pickle Action Fly.
The first fish escaped and the second one was a Laker. Port high Ninja Diver out 150 took a King on an 8″ White Slick Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Port low wire diver out 160 went
once with an 8″ Two Face Spin Doctor/Black Gasoline Dreamweaver Meat Rig. The majority of our crew this morning were Texans and they loved our Big Lake.
We use and recommend Nova Tackle Deep Water Series Trolling Rods, Dreamweaver Ninja Boards, Divers & Premium Meat Strips, and Magnum MeatlZ Downriggers & Copper.
