High winds from the NNE cooled off the water up north today. Most boats fished from 30 to 60 FOW between the point and the pier heads. That’s where we fished too. We ran up to the 02’s in 60 FOW and trolled south. The bath house area was hot early. We were running 3,5, & 7 color cores with plugs, two wire divers, and three riggers. Our divers were out 65 & 75 ft. with a 10″ White Crush Mountain Dew Spin Doctor and Cold Steel Big Water Tackle Meat Rig on one and a 10″ Glow Blade Blue Bubble Spin Doctor/Blue Moo Big Water Rig on the other. The Cold Steel Rig went twice and the Blue Moo Rig three times. One 3 color took one King and one 5 color with a pink glow plug went three times. We didn’t have a rigger bite. The water kept getting colder all morning. We ended up at the pier heads. That’s where we found the warmest water.
