We fished north on the bank today. We set up in the middle of the 01’s and took it north. The lake was rougher than we thought it would be with the waves coming from the northwest. We almost ran way north to make a long down wind troll but the autopilot held just fine. The early bite was slow again today for us. When the sun came up we only had 2 bites and 2 fish. The water was a little warmer than yesterday but the Kings were still biting in the warm water. We didn’t have any hits plugs. Spin Doctors & Kingfisher Flashers trailed by Big Water Tackle Meat Rigs with Erie Dearie vacuum pack salted herring strips took most of fish today. The Blue Moo Big Water Rig was our hottest bait . We had it behind a 10″ Glow Blade Blue Bubble Spin Doctor out 150 on a high wire. We had that same set up on an out down at 65 feet and another one behind a 10′ White Crush Glow Blade Spin Doctor on our other out down at 60 feet. We had a low wire out 105 with a 10″ Show Time Spin Doctor with a Blue Moo too. That rig took the big King pictured right. Our other low wire out 115 with a Blue Casper Kingfisher /Moo Moo Big Water Rig went 4 or 5 times. We worked between 100 & 130 FOW most of the day. They were biteing all morning both sides of the point. It was never real hot, but it was steady.
