We fished south of Ludington today. The captains I talked to that fished north said the bite was slow up there. We didn’t have a morning flurry. The sun was up before we had our first bite. We set up in 130 fow and trolled west. We had 11″ White Dreamweaver Paddles trailed by Pickled Sunshine Action Flys on all three riggers. Our best rigger was the chute set 165 down. Our two out downs were set at 115 and 85. We only had two copper bites, a 10″ Chrome Kevorkian White Crush Spin Doctor/UV On Ice Big Water Rig on a 350 & a 8″ Show Time Spin Doctor/Blue Moo Big Water Meat Rig on a 400. We had a 10″ Show Time Spin Doctor/Blue Moo Big Water Rig out 270 on one high wire and a Dark Green Blue Bubble Slick/Green Mile Big Water Rig out 300 on the other. They both went a couple of times. We had a pair of 10″ White Crush Spin Doctors/Froggie Big Water Rigs on our low wires. One was back 100 and the other 200. The 100 went three times and the 200 only went once. We ran a couple plugs early, but they didn’t go. We use Erie Dearie Premium Strips with all our meat rigs.
