Due to the approaching storm we postponed our trip this morning and left the dock at 8:30. The Lake was a lot rougher than we thought it was going to be. We had a hard time getting a good troll, but we hit 2 fish early. We took a King on an 8″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly out 300 on our port high Ninja Diver. We took a big Coho on the port out down 100 with an 8″ White Charlie Special Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. That combo went again later in the trip. We missed a fish on our starboard low wire diver out 250 with a 10″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig. We put it on an out troll and hit 2 fish on a 450 copper with an 8″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Isotope DW Meat Rig. Port 400 copper went once with an 8″ Black UV Spin Doctor/Black Gasoline DW Meat Rig. The port high Ninja Diver out 300 went a gain with an 8″ Closer Spin Doctor/Red Pepper Meat Rig. Starboard low wire out 200 went twice with a 10″ Dreamcatcher Spin Doctor/Ghost DW Meat Rig. Port low wire out 150 went once with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig. We lost a big fish at the back of the boat on a 325 copper with a Custom DW Flip Fin Paddle/Green Crinkle Fly. Most of our crew had big lake experience so knew what to do on the rods. They were Amish and didn’t want to pose for any pictures.
