9-3-11 Fishing Report

We got a late start this morning and had to set up north of the point in 130 FOW.  The water was warm down to 80 feet. The Kings didn’t seem to mind biting in 63 degree water.  We started our out downs at 60 & 65 feet and the chute down 70. We ended up running one of the out downs at 90 ft. with a 10″ White Crush Glow Spin Doctor/Froggie Big Water Meat Rig. It was like put it down and watch it go. Our chute rigger had a 10″ White Crush Glow Blade Spin Doctor/Green Mirage Strong Fly on it and was real steady. The other out down at 65 had a 10″ Black Crush Spin Doctor/Moo Moo Big Water Rig on it and it took several fish. Our high wires were out 200 & 220 with a 10″ Glow Blue Bubble Spin Doctor/Blue Moo Big Water Meat Rig and a 10″ Mountain Dew Spin Doctor/Green Mirage Strong Fly. The lows were out 150 & 160 with a 10″ Show Time Spin Doctor/ Blue Moo Big Water Meat Rig and a 10″ Blue Crush Spin Doctor/Moo Moo Meat Rig. The only rod that didn’t take a fish was a 200 copper with a plug. A storm moved in and when the lighting started we cut the trip short and headed for home.
