Fished north today. It was 53 degrees down 60 feet on our Fish Hawk. Most of our rods were set when the chute rigger down 85 with an 8″ White Crush Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly stacked with a SS Soda fired. It was a Coho that took the stack. Starboard out down set at 55 with a small Double Glow plug took a King. A 7.5 color core with a Double Orange Crush took a fish. Our 10 color core with a small Pink Plug went 3 times today. A 250 copper with a small Grey Ghost plug took a mature King. We took a fish on a low wire diver out 90 with an 8″ Chrome frog Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. We lost a fish on a high wire diver out 250 with an 8″ Charlie’s Special Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Another one escaped us on a high wire diver out 200 with an 8″ Wonder Bread Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig. We missed a fish on an out down set at 80 with a SS Wonder Bread stacked with an SS Half Wonder Bread. The fish hit the stack. We took a Steelhead on a 7.5 color core with a Fireball. There are a lot of Coho’s around and we had several bites that hit, ripped out some line, and were gone on our boards. The waves got a little big near the end of the trip, but our crew held up well. We use Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire, Dreamweaver Deeper Divers, Dreamweaver Ninja Boards, and Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs.
