Slow start again today. We were where we wanted to be, but when daylight broke, no bites. Our first bite was on our starboard low wire diver out 145 with a 10″ White Atomic Killer Spin Doctor/Green Moo DW Meat Rig. It got off. A fish hit our starboard high wire diver out 235 with a 10″ White Crush Green Dot Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig. Hit and was gone. Took our first fish on our port low wire diver. out 150 with an 8″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig. We took another fish on that set up later in the trip. Our starboard low wire went again out 165 with the same White Atomic Killer and it escaped. We went a long time with just one fish. We finally boated number two on the
starboard low wire out 170 with a 10″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Prototype Raspberry Carbon DW Meat Rig. A storm was coming and we decided to make it a half day trip. While we were pulling lines the fish decided to bite. We took a King on a 450 copper with an 8″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Prototype Red Sparkler DW Meat Rig. Port out down set at 110 went with an 8″ White Crush Paddle/Glow Fly. Starboard out down set at 95 went twice with an 8″ White Charlie’s Special Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Starboard high wire diver out 285 went with a 10″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig. The chute rigger down 130 took a King on a 10″ White Atomic Killer Spin Doctor/Green Moo DW Meat Rig. I
was informed Dreamweaver can no longer get the Green Moo tape and it is discontinued. It was a very exciting ending to our trip. Our crew was glad the brought their rain gear! They did a great job boating those last fish in the wind and rain. We use Dreamweaver Deeper Divers, Dreamweaver Ninja Boards, Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs, and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.
