Fishing Report

Another good morning bite today. Not as strong as yesterday but still plenty of early action. Starboard out down set at 45 went with a Glow Black Ladder Back Mini Captain’s Choice Cut Plug. Port 3 color core went once early with a Glow Green Back Mini Captain’s Choice Cut Plug, and later in the morning with Double Orange Crush. Starboard 7.5 color core took a King and missed a fish on a regular Yellow Splatter Back Captain’s Choice Cut Plug. Port 7.5 color core took a King on a Natural Glow Mini Captain’s Choice Cut Plug early and took a Coho later on an Orange Glow spoon. Starboard 10 color core took a King on a Natural Glow Captain’s Choice Cut Plug. Port 10 color took a King on a mag Fuzzy Bear Shelly Snack. Port 250 copper took one of biggest Kings on an 8″ Chrome Two face Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig. Starboard high wire diver out 135 with an 8″ White Crush Black Dot Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly went twice. Later in the morning it went twice out 235 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig. Starboard low wire diver took a King on a 10″ Yellow Closer Spin Doctor/Custom Meat Rig. Port high wire diver out 200 went once with an 8″ Paddle/Glow Fly. Port low wire diver out 90 went once with an 8″ Paddle/Glow Fly and twice out 100. Not much rigger action today. A word of caution on the new Captain’s Choice Mini Plugs. Dreamweaver is aware that the hooks are not strong enough to hold these big Kings. The next batch of plugs will have beefier hooks. We have been replacing the back hook with a stronger #2 hook.  Our crew enjoyed the great weather and great fishing this morning. We use Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire, Dreamweaver Deeper Divers, Dreamweaver Ninja Boards, and Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs.

Awesome fishing this morning. The action was so fast didn’t get many pictures and it is hard to give an accurate accounting of our bites. Dreamweaver Captain’s Choice Cut Plugs, both the standard and mini were hot. In the mini the Glow Black Ladder Back, Glow Green & Natural Glow all took fish. The Glow Back Ladder Back was on an out down set at 55 feet and had an SS Soda free sliding above it.  It went several times. All our board rods took fish. Starboard 5 color had a Glow Green Ladder Back Captain’s Choice Mini Cut Plug. Port 5 color core had a Natural Glow Captain’s Choice Cut Plug. Starboard 7.5 had a Regular Yellow Splatter Back Captain’s Choice Cut Plug. Starboard 10 color core had a Regular Captain’s Choice Cut Plug. Port 7.5 core had a Mini Pink Dot Captain’s Choice Cut Plug.  Port 10 color a Natural Glow Captain’s Choice Cut Plug. Each lead core rod only went once because the action was so hot we couldn’t get them back out. The starboard high wire diver out 150 went twice with an 8″ White Crush Black Dot Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Port High wire diver went twice out 135 with a Yellow Splatter Back Captain’s Choice Cut Plug. Port low wire had a custom 8″Paddle on it, and it went twice. The chute rigger down 70 with an 11″ White Slick Dreamweaver Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly went at least 3 times. Our crew brought breakfast and lunch sandwiches and were happy they didn’t have time to eat any of them.
