We ran a 2 boat charter with Dreamweaver today. We fished south in basically the same area we have been fishing the last few days. Every day when we’ve been setting up the graph has shown lots of fish and bait but not today. The first bite came in the dark. Our chute rigger set at 90 ft. with an 8″ White Crush Spin Doctor/Liquid Sunshine Action Fly released but didn’t hook up. It was just after sunrise when the King pictured left hit the same combo that was on the chute rigger on a 250 copper. We hit another one on a 200 copper with a regular size Bloody Nose spoon. We got both of them. A mag Blue Hulk took a King on a 225 copper and so did a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig on a high wire diver out 235. We missed one on a low wire out 125 with an 8″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Liquid Sunshine Action Fly and took a Laker on an 8″ Chrome Spin Doctor/Green Chartreuse WhirlyGig on the bottom. We use Dreamweaver premium strips in all our meat rigs, Morgan’s copper on all our copper rods & Morgan’s wire on all our wire rods.

Tough bite again today south of Ludington. We had most of our lines set when a low wire diver out 110 with an 8″ White Crush Spin Doctor/Liquid Sunshine Action Fly took off. The fish wasn’t on long and was gone. A 7 1/2 color core with a Captain’s Choice Natural Glow started ticking out line. It ended up being hooked on a lost board some old copper and an old dead King. Not the best way to start the day. We lost one on that same plug on a 10 color core and missed another on a 200 copper with a regular size Bloody Nose spoon. Our first live fish came on he chute rigger 90 down with an 8″ White Crush Spin Doctor/Liquid Sunshine Action Fly. We went 1 for 3 on a high wire out first 235 then 285 with a 10″ White Crush Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig. We took a Coho on that same rig on a low wire out 120. We had a Trout Rig on the bottom stacked 30 feet above with a Super Slim UV Blue Skinny Jeans. We missed a fish on the same spoon earlier in the morning. A 300 coper with a Captain’s Choice Green Splatter Back took a Coho and our last fish of the day came on a Super Slim UV Blue Dolphin stacked 15 feet above a flasher/meat rig. We marked a whole lot of bait today and 1st Mate Corey said the fish he cleaned were packed with some big but mostly Super Slim size alewife. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs & Morgan’s wire on all our wire rods.
