Fishing Report

We really had to work for our catch today. We went north and set up in 120 feet of water. Got all our rods set in the dark. It starting getting light and no bites. Full daylight, 15 rods in the water and still no bites. We changed several baits, moved out deeper, moved in shallower and could not get a bite. We talked to a friend fishing south and they were having good action. So we pulled lines and ran south. We took 2 fish on a high wire with  a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig. We hit 2 and boated 1 on a 300 copper with an 8″ White Crush Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly and took a Steelhead on a 10″ White Crush Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig on a 300 copper. Our Laker came on an 8″ Chrome Spin Doctor/Blue Chrome/WhirlyGig with glow wings fished on the bottom. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle Copper on our copper rods and Morgan’s wire on our wire divers.

We fished north today setting up in 120 feet of water. Lots of boats went north too. It was breaking daylight when we got a bite on a 200 copper with a regular size Dreamweaver Green Skinny Jeans. It didn’t hook up but a little bit later the same rod went and our first King was in the boat. The next 2 bites came on an out down set at 45 feet with a Green Skinny Jeans on the bottom and a Blue Skinny Jeans stacked above it. We got one of those and missed the other. We have been getting a couple plug bites early but didn’t get any today. We hit 2 fish on a high wire dive out 150 with a 10″ White Crush Spin Doctor/Tiny Bubbles KRW Meat Rig. Again we got one and missed the other one. We took a king on a high wire diver out 230 with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig and a big Coho on a low wire diver with a 10″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Green Mile Big Water Meat Rig. We missed a fish on a 275 copper with a glow spoon and we hit three Lakers boating two of them on our chute rigger with an 8″ Chrome Spin Doctor/Chrome Blue WhirlyGig with glow wings fished near the bottom. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper on all our copper rods & Morgan’s wire on all our wire rods.
