Fished north yesterday and today. We didn’t get an early bite either day. It was broad daylight before we got our first bite yesterday and almost the same today. The cloud cover helped us this morning. We had steady action most of the trip. Blue Bubble Spin Doctors and Blue Bubble Action & Blue Fairways Strong Flys accounted for almost every bite we had. We had 5 bites on a high wire diver out 170 with a 10″ Blue Bubble Spin Doctor/Blue Bubble Action Fly and 4 bites on the other high wire diver with a 10″ Blue Bubble Spin Doctor/Blue Fairways Strong Fly. Our low wires both had the same combo except one of them was a glow blade. They both went twice. We had an 8″ Blue Bubble Spin Doctor/Blue Bubble Action Fly take a King on a 250 copper. We took a Coho on a 10 color core with a Natural Glow Dreamweaver Captain’s Choice Cut Plug and another Coho 65 down on the chute rigger with a Blue Splatter Back Captain’s Choice Cut Plug. We missed several strikes on our wire divers. We figure they were Coho’s. Our crew did a great job holding up through the storms and they didn’t lose a fish that hooked up. No spoon bites and no meat bites today. It was a Spin Doctor/Fly bite for us.

We fished just off the Bank today. The picture on our graph looked pretty good, but we only had 1 early bite. It came on a 10″ Blue Bubble Spin Doctor/Blue Fairway’s Strong Fly out 150 on a high wire diver. It went again when we turned on our south troll. We took 4 Kings on that first south troll. One on a 250 copper with a Dreamweaver Natural Glow Captain’s Choice Cut Plug. One on a low wire diver out 125 with a 10″ Chrome Killer Spin Doctor/Green Death Big Water Tackle Meat Rig, and another on a 10 ” White Green Scale Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig on a 300 copper. We turned back north in the low 02″s and had a dry spell until we got north of the Point. We broke off a big King on a 400 copper and lost another one on the 300 copper with the 10″ White Crush Green Scale/Pickled Sunshine rig. We took our last fish on a 10″ proto type Spin Doctor/Green Death Big Water Meat Rig. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s copper on all our copper rods.
