We fished south again today between 75 and 85 feet of water. Our wire divers were our best rods today fished on or near the bottom. We had good action early in the morning, but the fish won several of the battles. It was flat calm for the first couple hours of the trip then the wind switched to the west south west and it got rough. We only got two more bites after the wind picked up. We had about the same number of bites on our dodgers/Spin-N-Glos as we did on our 8″ Chrome Spin Doctors/DW WhirlyGigs or Spin-N-Glos. Our crew had a fun time and Ernesto pictured here caught his first fish ever.

We fished south of Ludington today between 70 and 85 feet of water. Yesterday our riggers were hot today it was our wire divers fished on or near the bottom. Our best diver was a high wire with a 8″ Chrome Spin Doctor/Blue Chrome Spin-N-Glo. A low wire with a 8″ Chrome Spin Doctor/Chrome Blue Dreamweaver WhirlyGig , pictured below, was good too. We only had 1 rigger bite. It came on a Tin Can Dodger/Green Chartreuse Spin-N-Glo. A 275 copper with a Yeck Copper Dodger/Green Chartreuse Spin-N-Glo took the Brown Trout pictured left. The crew from Indiana enjoyed both the weather and the fishing.
