Fished south of Ludington again today between 75 and 95 feet of water (fow). We had good steady action this morning. The weather looked threatening first thing but the storm passed to the south and it turned out to be a nice day for fishing. The fish were biting and our crew did a good job boating them. Usually our wire divers are our best rods, but today our riggers were hot. We took 4 fish on our chute rigger with a tin can dodger/green chartreuse Spin-N-Glo and 2 on an out down with a 8″ Chrome Spin Doctor/Chrome Blue DW WhirlyGig with Glow Wings. That same Spin Doctor/WhirlyGig took a nice trout on a 300 copper. The rest of our catch came off our wire divers with dodgers/Spin-N-Glos and 8″ Chrome Spin Doctors/WhirlyGigs or Spin-N-Glos.

We fished south today between 70 and 90 feet of water. We were targeting Lake Trout. We had a few high lead core lines out trying to catch a Steelhead or King. We missed a nice fish on a 7.5 color core with a Double Orange Crush Super Slim. That was the only none Trout bite we had. Once again our wire divers fished on or near the bottom took most of our fish. A chrome dodger with a chartreuse Spin-N-Glo took 2 fish on a high wire diver and the rest of our catch came on 8″Chrome Spin Doctors with DW WhirlyGigs or Spin-N-Glos fished off our divers.
