We fished north of Ludington today setting up in 90 feet of water by Big Sable Point. We thought yesterday was tough. Today was much tougher. We took our first fish on a 11″ Dreamweaver White Crush Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly 95 down on the chute rigger. It was about 20 minutes later we when we took our second fish. It was a 14″ Laker we threw back. We took a small trout about a half hour later then we had a long dry spell. We trolled down to the high o6’s working between 90 and 110 feet of water (fow) without another bite. We put it on a west and took it out to 300 fow. We turned back and put it on a SE troll. We hit a fish on the turn on a 8″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Ocean Mist Action Fly on a 350 cooper and lost it. We missed one other bite on a rigger in 280 fow. We took our last 2 fish in 250 fow fishing near the bottom on a chrome dodger/chartreuse Spin-N-Glo. We went up north searching for Kings but didn’t find any today. Maybe next time.
