Fishing Report

We fished south of Ludington today between 70 and 100 feet of water. All our bites came on divers fished on or near the bottom. We were fishing dodgers and 8″ Chrome Spin Doctors trailed by various Spin-N-Glos. The conditions were less than perfect for trout fishing. The waves were building all morning and when we pulled lines they were measuring 4.8 ft. at the buoy.

We fished approximately the same area south of Ludington as we fished yesterday. Our crew got delayed this morning so we didn’t get away from the dock until 7:00 a.m. Despite the late start we still had a good day. We had 2 rigger bites today. Both of them were on Dreamweaver’s new Lake Trout Rig behind a dodger. The rest of our fish came on high wire divers  with dodgers & Spin-N-Glos fished on or near the bottom. We had some high lead cores out hoping to catch a silver fish, but they didn’t go.
