We fished south of Ludington Harbor today working between 70 and 100 feet of water. The last time we fished out there the bottom temp was 51 degrees. Today it was 41 degrees. We didn’t mark a lot of fish, but we still had good action. We were running 8″ Chrome Spin Doctors and dodgers with various Spin-N-Glo’s behind them. Today the dodgers out fished the Spin Doctors. Our high wire divers were our best rods. All our riggers and divers were fished on or near the bottom.

6-3-16 Fishing Report

We had a 2 boat charter today with Lie-A-Lot Charters. Both boats fished south of Ludington working between 70 and 100 feet of water. The action was steady. Our primary target species was Lake Trout. We took our Lakers running our divers and riggers on or near the bottom. We were using both dodgers and Chrome 8″ Spin Doctors with various Spin-N-Glos behind them. Today Spin Doctors took more fish than the dodgers. We ran 3, 5, 7.5 & 10 color cores hoping to pick up a big King or Steelhead. We had a Capt. Gary UV Super Slim on one of our 3 color cores and took 2 nice Steelhead on it. We caught a small throw back Coho and a small king on our other 3 color with a Tangerine Super Slim. Our crew had fun fighting and landing these fish. We expect the action to hold up for a while, so if you would like to sample our June fishery in Ludington give us a call and we will hook you up.
