Rough water and high winds made for another day of tough fishing for us up north today. We started out with a double on both port wire divers. The low was a 10″ Green Gator Spin Doctor/Green UV Big Water Meat Rig out 95 and the high was a 10″ White Crush Spin Doctor/Action Fly Meat Rig out 120. The fish on the low wire got off. The big Steelhead pictured left came in on the high wire. It turned out to be a 33.25 inch Michigan Master Angler Steelhead. This is the second one this season caught aboard the Free Style. We took three Lakers on a Tin Can Dodger/Yellow Red Dot Spin-N-Glow fished near bottom. We took another Steelhead and a Laker on a 10 color core with a glow spoon. We had three other wire diver bites that we missed. We are hoping for calmer sea’s tomorrow. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper on all our copper rods.

8-2-15 Fishing Report
Tough fishing today up north. The water temp was colder than we thought it would be. Our first 2 bites came on 7.5 color cores with Dreamweaver Natural Glow Cut Plugs. We took one more on a high wire diver out 150 with a 10″ White Crush Green Scale Spin Doctor/Action Fly Meat Rig. That was our morning flurry. Talked to a couple other boats and they had about the same action. We trolled out to deeper water and took a King on a free sliding Dreamweaver EVM spoon on an out down set at 70 ft. We took a Steelhead on that same spoon as we were pulling lines. Our only other bite came on the same high wire that took our third fish. The waves kept building and when it was time to come home they were pretty big. We ended up going 6 for 6. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper on all our copper rods.
