We fished straight out and a little south of Ludington this morning. It was just breaking daylight when our 225 & 250 coppers both went. We had a mag Bloody Nose on the 225 and a mag Fuzzy Bear Orange Slice on the 250. They both came in with twin 8 lb. Kings.
Our high #4 wire Diver out 160 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly was next. The fish was on then it was not. We had a mag glow spoon on our starboard out down set at 55 and a standard glow spoon free sliding above it. They went 3 times early in the trip. We took 2 Coho and a Steelhead all on the free slider. We had an 11″ White Slick Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly and a mag Fuzzy Bear UV Blues Jeans stacked 10 feet above it down 75 on the chute rigger. A King took the stack the first time it went and later in the trip we took an 18 lb. Lake trout on the stack.
The Paddle went twice. We trolled out to deeper water after the sun came up. A 175 copper with a Super Slim Rasta Goose went 3 times. The mag Fuzzy Bear Orange Slice on a 250 copper was good again today. We have 2 of them so we put the other one out 170 on a high wire diver and took a nice Coho on it.
We dropped the high wire with the White Slick /Pickle back to 190 and it took our biggest King of the trip. We took a Coho and a Steelhead on a standard glow spoon on a 300 copper. Most of the fish we cleaned including the Steelhead and Lake Trout had mag size Alewives in their stomachs. It was beautiful day on the Lake. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.

Our port out down set at 75 with a pair of Super Slim Green Hulks took a big Coho and a little later a Lake Trout. Our best rod today was a 225 copper with a mag Fuzzy Bear Orange Slice spoon. It went 6 times with big Kings. We landed 4 of them.
Our chute rigger was good too. We boated 4 Kings off it. Three on the Paddle and 1 on the stack. Our starboard out down had not gone all morning so we put a mag Fuzzy Bear Orange Slice on it and ran it down to 55 feet. We caught another nice Coho on it. We took a King on a 300 copper with a standard Dreamweaver Green Hulk. Our wire divers were quite until the last hour of the trip. We switched out a couple baits and put a Dw Megatron Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly on a #5 low wire Deeper Diver out 135 and an 8″ Closer Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly on a high #4 Deeper Diver out 180. They both took nice fish. It was a fun trip. The action was never hot and heavy. We picked away all morning. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.
