After the southwest wind blowing all night and a lot of boats going south we went north this morning. We set up in 130 feet of water just south of the bath house. Our first bite came on a low wire #5 Deeper Diver out 140 with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Meat Rig. It hit and was gone. Our high wire #4 Deeper Diver out 200 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly took off with a big fish that took out all our wire and was well into backing. Our 325 copper with a standard Cyclonite was next. Great start!
We got the fish on the 350 but after a long fight the other fish got off. The low wire with the 10″ Spin Doctor out 140 went 2 more times and we didn’t get either one. We missed a fish on the chute rigger down 95 with an 11″ White Slick Paddle and had a rigger down 85 with a pair of Supper Slim Green Hulks pop but it was a no show. It took a while for our next bite. It came on the same 325 copper with the Cyclonite.
It was a nice King . We had to wait until we were getting ready to pull lines for last fish. It was our biggest fish of the trip and came on a 250 copper with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.

We had a DW Captain’s Choice Natural Glow Plug stacked with a Super Slim Super Bread on it. The King took the stack. Our port out down set at 85 with a pair of SS Green Hulks was next with another big King. It took the stack too. That combo went 2 more times but we didn’t get either one.
We took a King on a 325 copper with a standard Cyclonite. Our 350 copper with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig took 2 fish. Our wire divers had been quite for a while so we put a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Meat Rig on the starboard low #5 Deeper Diver and the same 10″ Spin Doctor with a Green Gasoline DW Meat Rig on the port low wire. The port didn’t go but we took a mature King on the starboard side. We swapped out the SS Blue Jeans on one of our high wires out 215 for a Dreamweaver Stud Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly and took a decent King on it.
We run the Flip Fins with the fin deployed. Our chute rigger hadn’t had a bite all morning, so we put a Trout rig on it and took a nice Laker at the end of our trip. Our crew did a great job not losing any fish that were hooked up. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.
