Ludington Area Fishing Reports

Got off to a slow start this morning. Most of our set up from yesterday didn’t go today. Port side 2 color core went twice with an SS Double Orange Pearl. Port 3 color went once with a mag Fuzzy Bear Orange Slice. Port 7.5 went two times with a Glow Plug. Starboard 7.5 took a King on a Super Slim UV Green Jeans. Starboard 10 color went once with a mag Fuzzy Bear Green Slice. Port 10 color with a standard UV Green Jeans took a Coho. Port out down set at 60 went once with on a SS UV Blue Jeans stacked 15 feet above a Ghost Plug on a 2 color core. Starboard out down set at 35 went once with a Mini Captain’s Choice Cut Plug and once out in deeper water on a SS Jailbait. Port high wire diver out 160 went 4 times with an 8″ Paddle/Glow Fly. Starboard high wire out 145 went twice with a 10″ White Crush Dark Green Scale Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig. Starboard low wire diver out 95 went twice with a 10″White Atomic Killer/Green Moo DW Meat Rig. The chute rigger down 80 took a nice Steelhead on an 11″ Chrome Two Face DW Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. We had a good bite later in the morning to end up with a good catch. We use Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire, Dreamweaver Deeper Divers, Dreamweaver Ninja Boards, and Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs.

Action started in the dark. Missed a fish and took a fish on a 3 color core with a mag Fuzzy Bear Orange Slice. Starboard 3 color went twice with a UV Shelly Snack. Starboard 5 color took a King early on a Mini Pink Dot Captain’s Choice Cut Plug and a Steelhead later on a Sunshine spoon. Starboard 7.5 went once with a Mini Natural Glow Plug. Starboard 10 color went once with a full-size Natural Glow Captain’s Choice Plug. Port 10 color went twice with a UV Green Jeans. Port 250 copper went three times with a mag UV Green Jeans. Starboard 225 copper took a Coho on an 8″ Green Stud Flip Fin Paddle/Illusion Fly. Port High wire diver out 160 went twice with an 8″ Paddle/Glow Fly. Starboard high diver out 150 went once with an 8″ White Crush Green Dot Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Port low wire out 100 went once with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Port out down set at 60 took a Coho on a SS Lemon Lime Spoon Free sliding above a 6″ Orange Crush Orange Spin Doctor/Mini Blue Bubble Action Fly. Chute rigger down 65 took a King on a White Crush Wonder Bread Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Our crew was very happy to fill in for the cancellation we had today. They got to enjoy a beautiful action-packed morning fishing on Lake Michigan.
