Very foggy this morning running out southwest of Ludington this morning. We set up in the 38’s west and put it on a 260 troll. It was 43.6 degrees 60 ft. down on our Fish Hawk. We hit a triple setting up and only boated one of them. We lost a big fish on a 175 copper with a Yeck Purple Ham spoon, boated a Laker on a regular DW Blue Hulk stacked above a 11″ White Crush/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly 65 down on the chute rigger and broke off another big fish on an out down set at 55 ft. with a pair of regular Dreamweaver Super Bread spoons. After that it was mostly copper bites for us. We did take a nice King on a high wire out 135 with a 10″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Black Gasoline Dreamweaver Meat Rig, a Coho out 75 on a low wire out 75 with a mag DW Green Glow and lost one on our other low wire out 85 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Liquid Sunshine Action Fly. We took fish on a 10 color core with a regular Bloody Nose and a Super Slim Bumble Bee. Our hottest bait today was a Super Slim UV Black Dot Starburst pictured above. We took 2 Steelhead on a 175 copper, a Coho on one of 200 coppers and 2 Kings , 3 Steelhead and a Lake Trout on our other 200 copper all on that spoon. We trolled out to the 42’s west and back in to the 38’s. We had good action all morning. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips on all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper on all our copper rods.

We fished south today setting up in 100 feet of water by the Project. The water was cooler than the last time we fished there, 42 degrees down 60 ft. We wanted to do a south troll, but the northeast wind made it hard to keep the rods straight. The picture on the graph was clean and we were worried about getting a bite when the port out down set a 55 with a pair of glow spoons took off. We were pretty sure it was a King, but it turned out to be a 17 lb. Lake Trout. Then the other out down set at 40 ft. with a pair of regular Dreamweaver Green Jeans fired with a nice Steelhead. We took a King and a Coho later in the morning on our out downs. Our second biggest Trout came on a 300 coper with a 10″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Black Gasoline Dreamweaver Meat Rig. Our other Lakers came on our chute rigger and low wire divers fished on or near the bottom with 8″ Spin Doctors and Glow Wing Blue Chrome Yellow Dot Whirly Gigs. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper on all our copper rods.
