Went north again today. 55 degrees at 50 ft. on our Fish Hawk. We took a small King on an out down set at 60 ft. with a regular Dreamweaver Super Bread, a big King on the other out down set at 50 with a pair of DW Blue Jeans, and another big King on a 150 copper with a glow spoon. All the rest of our fish came on Dreamweaver Spin Doctors and either a Pickled Sunshine Action Fly or Pickled Sunshine Meat Rig. Our wire divers were hot today. We started our highs out 145 & 130. The 145 had an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly, pictured above. It went twice. The 130 had a 10″ White Crush Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig. It went 3 times. Our lows were out 100 & 110. The 100 had a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig and the 110 had an 8″ White Slick-Crush Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. They both went twice. A 200 copper with an 8″ White Slick/Pickled Sunshine took a nice King and a 10″Green Scale-White Crush Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Meat Rig on a 225 copper went twice. We had a 12″ White Crush Big Foot Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly 95 down on a chute rigger. We missed one on that. The further north we trolled our Fish Hawk probe at 50 feet showed the water warming. It rose from 55 degrees to 63 degrees. It didn’t seem to make any difference our action. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper on all our copper rods.

Went north today. The temp was 50.2 on our Fish Hawk 50 ft. down at the ball. The morning got off to a good start when we boated a big King that hit a regular Dreamweaver Super Bread 60 down on an out down before we had all our rods set. Then we hit a triple. First a low wire diver out 110 with an 8″ White Crush & Slick/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly hit. Next a 150 copper with a glow spoon and then an out down set at 50 with a pair of regular size DW Blue Skinny Jeans both went. The King on the out down got off but while we were fighting the first two a high wire out 150 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly went. That one ended up in the cooler and so did the other two. It’s been a while since we’ve had a start like that. We were marking fish and bait where we had all the action so we turned back south. We took a couple more mature Kings on the south troll. One on a high wire diver out 120 with an 8″ Pickled Sunshine Action Fly and the other hit a 225 copper with a 10″ White Crush Light Green Scale Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig. The setup on the 225 copper accounted for three of our fish today. Later in the morning one of our biggest Kings took a 10″ Green Sparkler Spin Doctor/Green Gasoline Dreamweaver Meat Rig on a low wire diver. Those Kings are full of fight and put up one heck of a battle. Our crew did a good job. The fish we lost just got off. We also boated a Sheepshead on a 150 copper. It put up a good fight too. We thought for sure it was a Salmon. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper on all our copper rods.
