We fished south today setting up in 100 feet of water . We were a little worried about how the fishing was going to be after two days of high winds and a big full moon in the sky. The screen on our graph didn’t show any bait and only a fish or two so we put a little west on our troll. We started hitting fish in 110 fow. A pair of Super Slim Super Breads on one of our out downs took the first bite. We missed it but landed a Coho on a 175 copper with a Super Slim Green Skinny Jeans. We stayed on a 210 troll and had really good action. We landed less than half our hits. Our crew was good on the rods but the fish better at getting off the hook. It was a lot of fun getting all those bites. The Super Breads on an out down were our hottest baits. The main bait was 55 down and the stack was 10 feet above it. We had a pair of regular size DW Green Skinny Jeans on our other out down and they were a close second. Our only plug was a Captain’s Choice Natural Glow Cut Plug on a 250 copper. It went 3 times with big fish but we only got 1 of them. Our high wires were out 120 & 110 with a 10″ Blue Bubble Spin Doctor/Cold Steel Big Water Meat Rig on one and a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig on the other they both went a couple times. Our low wires were out 85 & 110 with a 10″ Kevin’s Girlfriend/Green Mile Big Water Rig and a 10″ White Crush Dark Green Scale Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig. They both took fish. All our rods went at least once. The ones I’ve named here were our best ones. We pulled lines at 10:00 a.m. with a 3 man limit. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle Copper on all our copper rods and Morgan’s wire on our wire rods.

We fished north today setting up in 120 feet of water. We hit fish right away. An out down with a pair of Super Slim Super Breads set at 55 feet took off in the dark. It was the wildest fish I’ve seen in quite some time. It ran under our starboard divers then charged the boat, got under the swim platform, ran under the port divers, back under the swim platform and finally broke off on the starboard high wire diver. It was on the stack 10 feet above the main bait. While we were getting the out down back in action a big King hit a 11″ White Crush Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly 70 ft. down on the chute rigger. The Super Breads went 4 more times and we landed them all. Two took the stack and 2 hit the main bait including the 24.5 lb. King pictured left. A 10″ Blue Bubble Slick Spin Doctor/Blue Ice Big Water Tackle Meat Rig went twice on a high wire diver out 165 . A 10″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly took a big King on a low wire diver out 100. An SS Green Skinny Jeans on a 200 copper and a regular DW Green Skinny Jeans on a 175 copper both took Kings. We missed a good one on a 250 copper with a 10″ Yellow Sparkler Spin Doctor/Cold Steel Meat Rig. We put an 8″ Chrome Spin Doctor/Chrome Blue WhirlyGig with glow wings on the bottom and took a trout. The last bite we had came on the stack SS Super Bread set at 55 feet above an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Purple Mirage Action Fly. We missed that one. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper on our copper rods and Morgan’s wire on our wire rods.
