We ran a double yesterday and had great action both trips. We were mostly targeting Lake Trout. We had some lines set for other species and we did take a few of them. On the morning trip we hit 2 summer run Steelhead. One on a 225 copper with a Super Bread Super Slim and the other on a SS Green Skinny Jeans on a 200 copper. We almost got both of them but one came off about 50ft. behind the boat. On the afternoon trip we took a good size Coho on a big White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly 85 down on the chute rigger. We took a big Laker on that same rig same depth on the morning trip. We also took a small King on a 10 color core with a Super Slim Hell Fire. We fished both trips straight out and a little north of Ludington between 95 and 120 feet of water. Almost all our Trout came on riggers and wire divers fished on or near the bottom with 8″ Chrome Spin Doctors with DW WhirlyGigs and a few Spin-N-Glos. The Green and Chartreuse Glow Winged Whirly Gig was real good on one of our out downs.

We fished straight out and a little north of Ludington Harbor. We set up in 110 feet of water (fow) and trolled north. First Mate Cory was letting out his low wire diver with an 8″ Chrome Spin Doctor/Chrome Blue WhirlyGig when it got bit by a good size Coho. We put it in the net and his high wire diver out 360 with another 8″ Chrome Spin Doctor/Chrome Chartreuse Spin-N-Glow caught a Lake trout. We were off to a good start. We took a king on a Super Slim Blue UV Dolphin stacked 10 ft. above a big Spin Doctor. Our riggers ans wire divers were good fished on or near the bottom. The Lake was rough and didn’t look like it was going to lay down. Our crew was happy with their catch and called the trip early. We had good action all the time we were out.
