Ludington Area Fishing Reports

We fished up north today on a 2 boat trip with the Dreamweaver. Not much of a early bite today for either boat. We took 2 fish on a 200 copper with plugs and 1 on an out down set at 50 ft. with a pair of regular size Dreamweaver Raspberry Carbon spoons. That was it for the early bite for us. We turned out for deeper water north of the Point and just picked the rest of the morning. Our hot rod was a 10″ Chrome Kevorkian Spin Doctor/UV On Ice Big Water Meat rig out 140 on a high wire diver. It went 3 times. A 10″ Chrome Killer Spin Doctor/Green Death Big Water Rig took a nice king out 110 on a low wire diver. We took another King on the other low wire on a 10″ White Crush Green Scale Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig. We caught a big Coho on a 10″ Chrome Yellow Dot UV Crush Spin Doctor/UV On Ice Big Water Rig on a 200 copper. A 10″ Live Wire Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly on a 250 copper took another Coho. We took a 3 year old King 100 down on an out down with a 8″ White Slick Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. We were having so much fun with our crew that we didn’t get any action pictures. Running a double tomorrow so the next report will be on Sunday. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips on all our meat rigs and Morgan’s copper on all our copper rods.

We finally got a good early bite. We had 9 bites and landed 5 of them. We had all our divers go, 2 riggers, and 3 copper bites. We had Dreamweaver Natural Glow Plugs on 175, 200, & 250 coppers and 1 on a high wire diver out 145. We had a pair of Regular  Raspberry Carbon DW Spoons set at 50 ft. and 1 on a low wire diver out 95. We had a 10 Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Green Mile Big Water Meat Rig out 135 on a high wire diver and another 10″ Kevin’s Girlfriend with a Froggy Big Water Rig out 85 on a low wire diver. The other out down had a pair of blue glow spoons set a 65 ft. After the morning flurry was over the bite slow considerably. We took a couple more fish on plugs and then moved out to deeper water. We had a high wire diver out 160 with a 10″ White Crush Black Dot Spin Doctor/ Moo Moo Dreamweaver Meat rig take 2 nice fish. We took a big Coho on a 10″ Chrome Yellow Dot Crush UV Spin Doctor/UV On Ice Big Water Meat rig on a 225 copper. Our Lakers came on Tin Can Dodgers/Spin-N-Glos. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s copper on all our copper rods.
