Ludington Area Fishing Reports

Fishing was much improved from yesterday. Our bigger Kings came on wire divers with Spin Doctors and meat rigs. Only one spoon bite. It came on a 5 color core and took our smallest fish. This will be our last report until after the Ludington Offshore Classic. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper on all our copper rods.

Tough bite up north this morning for us. We hit four fish right away and boated two of them. They were both good size Steelhead. One hit a 5 color core with a regular size Dreamweaver Bloody Nose and the other came on a 10 color with a regular DW Beefeater spoon. We had a hook break on a meat rig that cost us a nice fish. Our big King came on a Spin Doctor/meat rig out 130 on a high wire diver. We got a s shallow as 100 feet and out as deep as 260 feet. The Brown trout on the far end of the picture came on a 7.5 color core on a glow spoon.
