Ludington Area Fishing Reports

We have fished the Ludington pier heads for the last five days and I think the well is running dry. Just like yesterday all our fish but one came on plugs. The 8″ Blue Bubble Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly out 60 on a Slide Diver took one King. We had a rigger set at 17 feet take one and the other 4 came on 3 color cores. There are large schools of bait north of the pier heads and we hit our fish on the south end of the bait. I think we are going to try a different spot tomorrow.

Fished the Ludington pier heads again today. All our fish but one came on plugs. Our out downs were set at 16 & 18 feet with plugs. We had Slide Divers out 55 & 65 feet. One had a Spin Doctor/Meat Rig and the other had a 8″ Blue Bubble Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. The meat rig didn’t take a hit, but we took a nice King on the Blue Bubble/Action Fly. Our best Plug was the Captains Choice Natural Glow Cut Plug. We are hoping the south wind doesn’t chase the Kings away.
