Ludington Area Fishing Reports

Good fishing today. We had a big King bite in the dark on a 3 color core and take out all our starboard boards. We had a lot of repairs to do, but we did get them back in later in the trip. We had bites on starboard 3 color core with a Double Orange Crush, port 3 color same bait. Starboard 5 color Yeck Gold Fireball, port 7.5 color went once Yeck Gold Fireball.  Took our biggest King on a 10 color core with a mag Fuzzy Bear Orange Slice. A 200 copper went twice with a mag UV Happy Meal. Port high wire diver out 150 went several times with an 8″ White Slick Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. No bites on our Starboard high diver. Port low wire went once out 90 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly and 2 more times out 110. Starboard low wire out 90 went twice with an 8″ White Crush Glow Blade Flip Fin Paddle/Glow Blue Bubble Action Fly. Starboard out down set at 55 went once with a pair of SS Lemon Limes. Port out down went once down 45 with a SS Super Glow Wonder Bread and an SS Half Wonder Bread free sliding above it.  Chute rigger down 75 went once with a 10″ White Crush Glow Blade Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Our crew did a good job on the rods. We use Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire, Dreamweaver Deeper Divers, Dreamweaver Ninja Boards, and Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs.

We fished south this morning. A  3 color core with a small Pink plug went once and again later with a  Yeck Gold Double Orange Crush. Port 5 color core went once with a Yeck Double Orange Crush. Starboard 5 color went once with a small Pearl plug and 2 more times with a Yeck Gold Fireball.  Port 7.5 color core went 2 times with a Yeck Gold Fireball. Port 10 color went 2 times with a small Pink plug. Starboard 10 color went 2 times with a DW Super Glow Wonder Bread spoon. Port high wire diver out 150 went 3 times with an 8″ White Slick Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Starboard high wire out 135 went 5 times with the same rig that was on the port high wire. Port low wire diver out 125 took a mature King on a 10″ White Crush Green Scale Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig. Starboard low wire out 100 went twice with an 8″ White Crush Glow Blade Flip Fin Paddle/Glow Blue Bubble Action Fly. Port out down set at 45 went 2 times with a pair of SS Sodas. Starboard out down set at 55 went 3 times with a pair of Green Glow spoons and once with a pair of SS Lemon Limes. Chute rigger down 80 with an 11″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly stacked with a SS Half Wonder Bread went once. Later we put an 8″ Blue Bubble Spin Doctor/Blue Bubble Action Fly on the chute, and it took a nice King. We had the same crew today as yesterday, so they were ready for the action this morning. We use Morgan’s tackle copper and wire, Dreamweaver Deeper Divers, Dreamweaver Ninja Boards, and Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs.
