Ludington Area Fishing Reports

Fished north today setting up off the bank.  First bite was on a 7.5 color core with a mag Fuzzy Bear RV Green Jeans. Then it was on. Chute rigger down 80 with an 11″ Black Slick Paddle went twice at 80. It went 2 more times down 130 later in the morning. Starboard out down set at 70 went 3 times with a pair of Green Glow spoons. High wire diver out 200 with an 8″ White Slick Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly went twice. Our other high wire diver out 200 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly went twice too. Low wire out 120 with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig went once and then again out 200 with a 10″ White Crush Green Scale Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig. Lost a fish and caught one on a low diver out 170 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly.  Took 2 fish on a small Black Lighting plug, 1 on a 225 copper and 1 on a 250 copper. Took a small King on a 3 color core with a Double Orange Crush and took another fish on a 5 color core with the same bait. Lost a fish on a 10 color core with a small Pink plug. Took a big King on a 225 copper with a DW A Bomb spoon. We had another hit on it, but it didn’t hook up. Near the end of the trip, we put an 8″ Chrome UV Black Spin Doctor/ A Bomb DW Meat Rig, pictured below, on a 325 copper. It wasn’t out 10 minutes before it took our second largest King. Our crew did a great job on the rods and were rewarded with lots of bags of fresh Salmon. We use Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire, Dreamweaver Deeper Divers, Dreamweaver Ninja Boards, and Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs.

Divers – High Wire out 200 small pink plug, HD out 200 8″ White Crush Two Face Flip Fin/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly, LD out 85 Chrome Frog Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly, LD out 170 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly, HD out 300 8″ Chrome Two Face Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig. Riggers, Chute down 75 11″ Black Slick Paddle Pickled Sunshine Action Fly went twice, out down set at 80 with a 2 color core once on a mag Silver spoon and once on a SS Soda stack. 3 color core went 2 times Double Orange Crush, 5 color core 2 times Double Orange Crush, 7.5 mag Fuzzy Bear RV Green Jeans, 250 copper mag RV Fuzzy Bear Green Jeans.
