Fished north setting up off the bank. Surface temp was 55 and it was 42 down 50 feet on our Fish Hawk. The Lake was calm, and the boat traffic was heavy. Our first bite was on a 7.5 color core with a small Pinkie Plug. It was a King. Next was a 5 color core with a Double Orange Crush, another King. We missed a fish on our other 5 color core with a Double Orange Crush. We took a Steelhead on our port out down set at 60 with a mag Black Glow spoon.
We rode for a while without another bite. Our chute rigger went twice. Both times the fish hit the SS Soda stack. First time it was down 150. Second time it was down 120. We didn’t get either fish. Our best producer was a low wire diver out 100 with an 8″ Green Glow Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. It went 3 times. We took a Laker on the 5 color with a Double Orange Crush and a Steelhead on a 175 copper with an SS Rasta Goose. We pulled the plug off the 7.5 core and replaced it with a Fire Ball. We had Fireballs on both our 7.5’s. They both took a hit but didn’t hook up. We took a King on a 10 color core with an 8″ Chrome Green Dot Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig. We hit a double pulling lines. First fish was on a 250 copper with an 8″ Senica Special Flip Fin Paddle/Green Crinkle Action Fly. The second was on a high wire diver with an 8″ Chrome Two Face Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver meat rig. The first one got off, but we boated a mature King on the meat rig. We use Morgan’s Takle copper and wire, Dreamweaver Deeper Divers, Dreamweaver Ninja Boards, and Dreamweaver Premium Strips in our meat rigs.

We boated all three. We missed one on a 7.5 color core with a mag UV Wonder Bread. That spoon went 4 times. We broke it off on the 4th bite. The bead chain broke on a small Pinkie Plug on a 7.5 color core. Our port high wire diver out 300 took a King on a Charlie’s Special Flip Fin Paddle/Green Crinkle Action Fly.
We swapped out the 8″ Paddle on the chute rigger for an 11″ White Slick DW Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. We kept the SS Soda for a stack. It went once at 90 and once at 125. The King that was down 125 hit the stack. We had Double Orange Crushes on both 5 color cores. They went a total of 5 times. We missed a fish on a 175 copper with a SS Shelly Snack. We took a big Coho on an out down set at 55 feet with a DW Chilly Willie. We took a Laker on a 300 copper with a mag Pearl spoon. It was sunny and flat clam this morning. We thought it was going to be tough fishing after the sun came up, but our crew managed to boat some nice fish. We use morgan’s Tackle copper and wire, Dreamweaver Deeper Divers, Dreamweaver Ninja Boards, and Dreamweaver Premium Strips in our meat rigs.
