We set up outside the Ludington pierheads. That seemed to where the warmest water would be and it was. We hit our first fish in the dark on a 5 color core with a Natural Glow Captain’s Choice Cut Plug. It was a nice King. We turned to make a south troll and took another King on a low wire Deeper Diver out 45 with an 8″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Green Mile Meat Rig.
We had a tug on a high wire diver out 150 with a 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. We rode for a long time before our next bite.
It came on a 10 color core with an 8″ Dragon Slayer Dreamweaver Flip Fin Paddle/Liquid Sunshine Action Fly. While we were fighting it a 3 color core with a orange spoon took off. Then a 7.5 color core with a small Wonder Bread plug took off. The fish on the plug escaped but we landed the other two. We cut the trip short after our little flurry. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire. We pull our lead cores and coppers with Dreamweaver Ninja Boards.

We took a Coho on a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig out 45 on a low wire Deeper Diver. Three bites three fish in 90 to 100 feet of water. We turned it west to see if we could find warmer water. We took a King on a 5 color core with a Yeck Double Orange Crush and a Steelhead on a 7.5 color core. Our high wire diver out 150 took a King on an 8″ White Crush Two Face DW Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Took another King on the chute rigger down 70 with an 8″ White Crush DW Paddle/Blue Bubble Action Fly. Our starboard out down set at 55 took a Coho on an 8″ Fish Scale DW Paddle/Blue Bubble Action Fly. We lost 2 fish on a low wire Deeper Diver out 110 with a 10″ Chrome Two Face Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig. The water did warm up on the west troll. We turned back east when we hit 200 feet of water. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire. We pull our lead cores and coppers with Dreamweaver Ninja Boards.
