We fished south again today setting up in 110 feet of water. We had all our rods set before we got our first bite. We had a Super Slim Super Bread set at 45 ft. on an out down and another one free sliding above it. We took a 3 year old King on the slider. We reset it and a Coho took the free slider. We landed the Coho too. The big King pictured left took a Super Slim Green Skinny Jeans on a 175 copper. After one heck of a fight we finally got it in the net. The bite slowed for us so we moved out deeper. Our fourth fish, a big Coho, came on an 8″ Chrome Killer Spin Doctor/Green Mile Big Water Meat Rig 85 out on a low wire diver. Our high wire diver with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig out 110 went 3 times. We landed 2 out of 3. We took a nice size Steelhead on a Super Slim Blue Skinny Jeans on a 175 copper. We had an 8″ Chrome Spin Doctor/Blue Chrome WhirlyGig with glow wings fishing near the bottom. It went twice with Lake Trout on but only 1 made it to the net. We ended the trip in 165 feet of water. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper on all our copper rods and Morgan’s wire on our wire rods.

We fished south of Ludington today setting up in 110 feet of water. The picture on our graph was clean but it didn’t take long to hit our first fish. Our chute rigger down 60 fired with a pair of Dreamweaver EVM spoons. We missed that one Our starboard high wire took a hit out 120 with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig. Missed that one too. Finally got our first one in the boat on a low wire diver out 85 with an 8″ Chrome Killer Spin Doctor/Green Mile Big Water Meat Rig. We took another one on a 175 copper with a Super Slim Super Bread. We had a pair of Super Breads on an out down set at 65 and took 2 fish on those. We had a Super Slim Green Skinny Jeans on our other 175 copper and it went twice. A high wire diver out 115 with an 8″ Chrome NBK Mountain Dew Spin Doctor/Yellow Gasoline DW Meat Rig took our biggest King. We ended up out in 170 feet of water. Our Super Breads on the out down hadn’t gone for a while so we switched them for a pair of Yeck Copperheads. We set the bottom one at 55 feet free slid the other one. We were pulling lines and hit a big Coho on the slider. We got him almost to the net and it got off. We put them back down and they went again. This time the fish ran out 400 feet of line before it came off. Oh well, fish stories are never told about the little one’s that get away. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper on our copper rods and Morgan’s wire on our wire rods.
