Fishing Report

We were a little worried first thing this morning. All our rods were set, the screen on our graph was clean, and no bites. Finally, the port 3 color core with a Mini DW Lucky Charms Plug took off. The fish got away. After that our bites came pretty steady. Starboard 3 color went 3 times with a Mini Pink Dot DW Plug. Port 5 color took a King on a Fireball. Port 10 color went twice with a standard UV Green Jeans. Starboard 7.5 core took a Steelhead on a SS Rasta Goose. Starboard 175 copper with a Mini Natural Glow DW Plug went once. Port high diver out 170 took a King on an 8″ White Crush Green Scale Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Starboard high wire diver out 135 went once with a standard UV Shelly Snack. Starboard low wire out 95 went once with a 10″ Dream Catcher Spin Doctor/Custom Glow Dreamweaver Meat Rig. We took off the meat rig and put an 8″ Chrome Two Face Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly on and it took our last fish, a nice Steelhead. You couldn’t ask for a nicer day. Our crew did a good job on the rods. The Lake was calm, and the fish were biting. We use Dreamweaver Deeper Divers, Dreamweaver Ninja Boards, Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs, and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.

We didn’t have a big early bite, but we had steady action all morning. Port & starboard 3 color cores went with Mini Lucky Charms DW Plugs. Starboard 1 color went once with a Mini Pink Dot DW Plug and once with a small Steelie Stomper. Starboard 5 color core took a King on a Mini Natural Glow DW Plug. Port 7.5 went once with a Mini Natural Glow DW Plug and once with a DW Rasta Goose. Starboard 7.5 went 3 times with an SS Rasta Goose. Port 10 color core took a Coho on a UV Shelly Snack. Port 275 copper went once with an 8″ Prototype White Charlie Special Flip Fin Paddle. Port 2 color took a Coho on a Double Orange Crush. Port high diver went once with an 8″ White Paddle/Glow Fly. Port low wire diver out 110 took a big King on an 8″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Red Pepper Meat Rig. Starboard low wire diver out 95 went 3 times with an 8″ Two Face Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Port out down set at 45 went once with a DW UV Green Jeans with a SS UV Green Jeans free sliding above it. The King took the free slider. Starboard out down set at 55 went 3 times with a Mini Glow Black Ladderback DW Plug and a SS Soda free slider. The free slider went once and the plug twice. The chute rigger went twice early with a full size DW Captain’s Choice Green Black Ladderback Plug and two more times down 100 later in the morning with an 8″ White Crush Silver Back Paddle/Glow Fly. The Lake was calm and our crew from Ohio are taking home a cooler full of fresh Salmon.
