Fishing Report

The Lake was a lot calmer this morning. We took a fish on our first rod out. It was on the port side 5 color core with a Mini Pink Dot DW Plug. Port 7.5 core went once with a Mini Pearl Zebra DW Plug. Starboard 7.5 went once with a Mini Glow Black Ladderback DW Plug. Port 10 color went once with a Mini Lucky Charms DW Plug. Starboard 10 color went once with the same plug. Port 200 copper went once with a regular size Warrior Hot Blueberry Muffin. Starboard 225 copper went once with the same spoon. We couldn’t get the 255 back out so I took the Warrior Hot Blueberry Muffin off the 225 and put it down 55 on the starboard out down. It went 3 times.  Port out down went once with a Mini Salmon Slayer DW Plug. Port high Ninja Diver out 150 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly went 4 or 5 times. Starboard high Ninja Diver went 4 times with an 8″ White Rabbit Paddle/Glow Mirage Fly. Port low wire diver out 90 went 3 times with an 8″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Later port 250 copper went once with an 8″ White Charlie Special Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Starboard 7.5 color core took a Steelhead on a Gold Orange Spoon. Port 7.5 took a Coho on a Gold Fireball. Our crew had an 83-year-old man that has fished with us before. He caught his limit and never lost a fish.

It was rough out there this morning. The waves had a lot of west in them and it was tough to stand up let alone get a good troll. Port 5 color core went once with a Mini Pink Dot DW Plug. Starboard 7.5 went once with the same DW Plug. Port 7.5 went twice with a Mini Pearl Zebra DW Plug. Port 10 color went once with a Mini Lucky Charms DW Plug and once with a DW Hot Tamale Spoon. Starboard 10 color took a big King with a Gold Goat Spoon. Port 200 copper went once with a regular Warrior Hot Blueberry Muffin Spoon. Starboard out down went once set at 55 with a pair of SS Soda’s. It went 3 times later with an 8″ Chrome 2 Face Flip Fin Paddle stacked with an SS Chilly Willie. The paddle took 2 fish and the stack took a Coho. Port out down went once at 40 and once at 60 with a Mini Salmon Slayer DW Plug. Our chute rigger went once down 70 and twice down 80 with an 11″ Fish Scale DW Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Starboard high Ninja Diver out 140 went 3 times with an 8″ Closer Spin Doctor/Red Pepper Meat Rig. Port high Ninja Diver went twice out 140 and 4 times out 150 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Starboard low wire out 90 went 3 times with an 8″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Isotope DW Meat Rig. Port low wire went 4 times out 110 with a 10″ Dreamcatcher Spin Doctor/Ghost Meat Rig. Our crew held up well and ended up taking home 2 coolers full of Salmon filets.
