After the great day we had Sunday we were looking forward to getting back out there Monday. The water had not changed. The wind was blowing harder and the moon was very bright when we headed out Monday morning. We set up in the same area as Sunday and started fishing. We hit two nice Kings in the first half hour and that was it for quite a while. Both fish came on riggers. We didn’t have another bite until about 10:00 a.m. We took a Steelhead on a 150 copper with a Super Slim Starburst spoon and King on a 7.5 color core with a Yeck Fireball. Hard to believe – 21 fish on Sunday , 4 bites 4 fish on Monday fishing the same water. We headed back out this morning only we started further south. We trolled about a half hour before we hit our first fish. It hit the chute rigger with a 10″ White Crush Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Today was pretty much a repeat of yesterday. We only had one wire diver bite both days., but it was a good one. We took a 23 lb. Lake Trout on a high wire out 220 with a 10 ” Margarita Spin Doctor/Green Mile Big Water Meat Rig and a Dreamweaver Premium Meat Strip. The big fish was 36″ long. We were marking a lot of fish and bait. They are out there, but just weren’t biting. We are blaming it on the “Super Moon. It has been real bright all night long. We don’t know what else to blame it on. Going to take a few days off. Be back out fishing next Monday.

9-7-14 Fishing Report
Haven’t fished the last 3 due to rough seas. We set up today in 180 feet of water (fow) and trolled west south west. Our first 2 fish were Lakers on our low wire divers out 110 and 130. Our high wires were good early. We had a 10″Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Green Mile Big Water Meat Rig out 220 on one and a 8″ Chrome Killer Spin Doctor/Total Chaos Big Water Rig out 180 on the other. As the morning wore on the action on our divers slowed. We kept moving them around but they didn’t get bit after 10:00 a.m. Our out downs were steady. We had a pair of regular size DW Beefeaters down 75 on one and a pair of DW Blue Skinny Jeans down 55 on the other. Only 1 bite on our chute rigger. We had a 10 color core with a small Fuzzy Bear Gold Double Orange Crush go 3 times. Our 2 beat coppers were a 150 with a Super Slim Starburst and a 350 copper with a 10″ Blue Bubble Spin Doctor/Glow Blue Bubble Action Fly. We got out to 520 fow before we turned back east. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs.
